December Perfume Challenge: Day 4 - Juicy Couture Viva La Juicy

Today out of my bag o' samples, I grabbed Viva La Juicy. I find Juicy Couture to be one of the polarizing brands - you either love em or hate em. I think we can all agree that we are so over the velour, Paris Hilton, juicy butt track suits, but personally, I think Juicy makes some really cute, girly clothes. I had the cutest Juicy swimsuit, but the strap got stuck in the washer (I know, never never put your swimsuit in the washing machine!) and to this day I am distraught over it. Now about that Viva La Juicy...

I say: I actually have the rollerball of this (from a Sephora gift set) and although I didn't like it at first, it definitely grew on me. It's sweet and girly and I will venture to say it is fruity. Again, I can't pick out any of the individual notes - honestly you think I would be getting better at this. I think perhaps it has a tiny hint of baby powder smell. Now that I smell it next to the Justin Bieber Girlfriend, I think the JB smells a lot sweeter in a candy sort of way. I received a sample of the new La Fleur version and I think I prefer that one. I guess I can do that one tomorrow and have a side by side.

They say: "Can't get enough couture? Well here's even more, for Juicy girls who want it all. Juicy Couture presents Viva La Juicy, an enticing scent of wild berries and mandarins, honeysuckle, gardenia, and jasmine. To round it out, amber, caramel, vanilla, sandalwood, and praline add just the right touch of sweetness. It's bottled in a bold gold decanter decorated with Juicy charms."

No wonder I thought Viva La Juicy reminded me of Justin Bieber - they both have notes of mandarin,  (black) berries, and jasmine! My nose does know! Okay so what if Twirl had those notes too. Who knew so many fragrances had the same notes?
