December Perfume Challenge: Day 1 - Taylor Swift Wonderstruck

In an attempt to blog more regularly, I've decided to challenge myself to blog/review a fragrance every day for the month of December (or until I run out of perfumes!). I am by no means an expert on fragrance and I rarely even wear it! I just have a glut of perfume samples and I thought it might be kind of fun to give my take on a scent and then compare it to what the manufacturer really says. Get ready for a lot of "flowery" "musky" and "sugary"!

First up is Wonderstruck my Taylor Swift:

I say: "It smells very sweet, almost like candy. The scent is pretty fresh and probably better suited to spring/summer. It definitely feels very young and more appropriate for a teenager. I wasn't a fan initially, but now I think it's alright. I wouldn't buy a whole bottle, but I could use up the sample. I also like the bottle, it reminds me of Arabian Nights or a genie in a bottle."

They say: "Taylor Swift Wonderstruck Eau de Parfum spray is a charming and sparkling surprise of vibrant fruits kisses a bouquet of soft petals and a touch of sweet indulgence."

Fragrantica says: "The fragrance composition is described as a charming gourmand – floral with sparkling fruity tones on a wooden background. The top notes are raspberry, dewberry, green tea, freesia and apple blossom. The heart features sweet vanilla along with sun drenched honeysuckle and white hibiscus. Notes of golden amber, musk, sandalwood and peach are in the base."

There you have it. I guess I wasn't too off. I might not have specifically said "fruity", but candy is made of fruits! Haha. Okay, I have to go now because all of this perfume sniffing has given me a headache!. See ya tomorrow.
